Our Baby Room caters for the needs of our little ones. The staff to child ratio is 1-3, providing a calm and caring environment in which the children are able to develop in all areas of the EYFS at their own individual pace. We aim to provide a comfortable, caring, nurturing environment, which will quickly become a home from home for your baby. Parents are required to supply nappies, toiletries and a change of clothing. From 6-9 months babies are able to have nursery meals whenever you feel that the time is right.
The Tweeny Room caters up to twelve 2-3 year olds and has a staff ratio of 1-4. The fully trained staff follow the EYFS which introduces the children to a daily routine consisting of both structured an un-structured activities enabling your child to discover, explore and gain independence, indoors and out! All Tweeny parents are asked to provide a bed sheet for sleep times, a beaker and to purchase an apron for meal times.
Our Kindergarten (Kindy) Room is the Pre-school room for 3-4 years olds who will be moving on to their Primary Schools as their next step. The pre-school children are encouraged to take part in a free-flow system in a relaxed atmosphere, to develop their mental, artistic and physical abilities individually to their full potential. The children work towards the EYFS, which enables them to have access to all areas of learning indoors and outdoors. This encourages the children to develop self esteem, confidence and independence. To further develop this we have 3 key worker groups which allows children to work closely with their key person. We build on the foundations instigated at home, by you as parents and together develop their confidence in preparation for the first day at school. All Kindy parents are asked to purchase an apron for meal times. The children are required to bring in a drinks bottle to keep at nursery.
The nursery education grant is available from the term after your child turns three years of age. This entitles you to 15 hours of free childcare per week during term time only, further funding is available under certain circumstances, please click here for further information…….Link to Childcare choices website: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. It is the parents’ responsibility to make their own online claim for the extra 15 hours government funding.
Outdoor Play Area
We believe that it’s essential for children to have access to the great outdoors whatever the weather! We have recently invested in a fully refurbished outdoor play area, to provide a safe stimulating environment for curious young minds to explore. We have a mud kitchen, garden, mini climbing wall, superb wooden castle and a beautiful outdoor classroom; along with loads of safe outdoor trucks, scooters and bikes.
Throughout the year we will celebrate many cultural and religious festivals with the children, ensuring inclusivity for all. We will support various charitable initiatives, such as the BBC Children in Need Appeal and we will have a multitude of themed special days for our children to participate in, such as a Christmas Party, Teddy Bears Picnic, Beach Day and our very important end of year Graduation Day for our leavers.
